• Work closely with the operations manager, team members, and users to design and develop solutions to a wide range of problems impacting new and existing applications;
• Serve as a technical leader collaborating with other technical leaders to establish and implement best practices; and
• Work closely with and mentor other developers.

Technologies currently in use include: Oracle, Oracle Forms, PL/SQL, HTML, SQR, C, Pro*C, Unix shell scripting, HTML, JavaScript, and JSP, Ajax, Struts, Spring, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.

The shared service organization supports mission critical applications and processes that impact every user (on-site and remote).

• A minimum of five years’ development experience for business/office applications in a variety of development environments;
• Solid development experience in Java and J2EE with Spring, Spring MVC, and Hibernate, preferably with some Struts experience using the Oracle Application Server in standalone and clustered environments; and
• Demonstrated application development success, including interacting with users and business analysts to produce systems that meet time, cost, and functional commitments.
• Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills – including the ability to communicate issues or blocks when they arise and to provide accurate estimates of work in order to facilitate effective collaboration with team members and users.
• Experience with the technologies used to support the internal systems is helpful and the ability to learn new technologies is desired.
